The house finally closed on March 30th, after a lot of jumping through hoops. I owned the house with my Mom, and after a lot of disagreeing, we finally settled all the money last week.
S. and I are spending a fortune on rent every month, and since she lost her job last fall things have been getting tighter and tighter.
We have decided to buy a mobile home with the money from the sale of my house, instead of trying to get a loan (that we couldn't afford anyway). We understand there are pitfalls of owning one, but at least we can get out of this apartment and start saving some dough!
I am doing a lot of little diy projects lately, which I will share when they are through.
